April 2010
Grouper Season opened back up April 1st. I ran several private boat trips so far this month doing very well with the scamp grouper.
Also I have been doing some fishing in my boat while checking snapper spots for Red Snapper Season that opens June 1st. The mingo snapper are biting very well providing almost non stop action. Lots of catching and releasing with HUGE Red Snapper with the occasional Black Snapper. Triggerfish and Amberjack are also biting well.

Red Snapper Season is closed but that has not kept us from bottom fishing. We have been catching plenty of nice black snapper as well as Triggerfish. We are also filling the box with Mingo Snapper and a few Lane Snapper. We have caught a few amberjack and released a ton of nice Red Snapper. Here are a few Pictures for your enjoyment!

August 1-August 18
We finished Red Snapper season out with a bang. We managed to catch a quality limit of Red Snapper on every bottom fishing trip we made this year with no problem.
Now that Red Snapper season is over, I am now focusing on running private boats on offshore trolling trips for Marlin, Wahoo, Dolphin and Tuna.
I took a little fun fishing trolling trip on my boat August 10th and went 1-4 on white marlin and 0-1 on Blue Marlin. We had the blue hooked up for a couple jumps as he greyhounded toward the boat. He was able to throw the hooks on his last jump.
If you are a boat owner and are interested in learning how to troll offshore for pelagics give me a call or check out my guide services page.
I will also be running inshore trips for the next couple months and if you want a bottom fishing trip there are still several fish we can target. Give me a call and lets go!!
June 19- August 1
I've been so busy fishing lately I have not had much time to get the site updated with reports. Just know that the snapper bite is on fire each trip we go on. Red Snapper, Black Snapper, Triggerfish, Mingo Snappers and King Mackerel's have been filling our ice chest. Here are a few pictures of a couple past trips.

I ran a trip today with Ronnie and his family from Mississippi. The snapper were HUNGRY and we quickly got our boat limit. Ronnie and his family also caught triggerfish and mingo snappers until their arms were sore! What a great trip! I'm waiting on Ronnie to email me the pictures to this trip. Hope to have them posted soon!

I ran a guide trip today on Richard's Cape Horn. We loaded up with Pinfish and headed out to the gulf in flat calm sea's. We quickly got our limit of Red Snapper and switched over to Amberjack fishing and Triggerfish and Mingo Snapper. We caught a lot of Mingo Snapper as well as triggerfish. The juvenile Amberjacks were thick as they could be and Richard had a blast catching and releasing them to grow up and be caught another day.

Went fun fishing today with a couple of friends. Left the dock at 7am and returned at 4pm. We came home with 2 nice Amberjack, one grouper and about 15 nice mingo's. We released one 32" cobia and few undersize Amberjack and of course a ton of red snapper. We could have caught 1,000 mingo's if we wanted too, both bait size and eating size. Got broke off too many times to count on decent fish.
